Abstract
This book explores how disadvantaged teenagers develop emotionally, socially, and academically through hands-on experiences at therapeutic farms. It provides a clear, practical guide to engaging with young people who may be reluctant to interact. It is written in accessible language, free from scientific jargon and presents real-life examples and thought-provoking ideas. The book makes a valuable contribution to the relatively unexplored area of farm-based playwork that playwork practitioners can apply in any setting.
