Submission & Peer Review Process
The COSMA Journal is a peer reviewed journal that places a strong emphasis on substantial and constructive feedback for submitting authors. Anyone is welcome to submit an original article and receive consideration provided the authors own the copyright to the submitted manuscript, or have the expressed permission of the owner of the copyright to submit the manuscript. The COSMA Journal does not charge any publishing fees for submitting authors. Submitted manuscripts may not be simultaneously submitted for publication or published in any archival journal, book, or other academic outlet. Authors with any questions regarding the submission process should not hesitate to contact the editor for more information.
Submission of original articles, commentary, book reviews, general scholarly reviews, and other exemplary contributions all fall within the purview of The COSMA Journal. Submissions to be determined to be outside the scope of The COSMA Journal, incomplete or incorrectly formatted accordingly to the journal’s submission requirements, or deemed to not meet the quality standard as determined by the editor may be subject to desk rejection. In most cases, author(s) that have their manuscript desk rejected will be provided adequate feedback from the editor and provided the opportunity to resubmit the manuscript following the necessary preliminary revisions. Submitted contributions deemed to meet the criteria of submissions to The COSMA Journal will be sent to reviewers that are content area experts in a given sub-field of sport management relative the content of the submission itself. A minimum of two reviewers will engage in a double-blind peer-review process for each submission sent out for review. Submissions will strive to adhere to a 60-day submission process in which author(s) will receive substantive feedback with 60-days of submission.
