Abstract

Tourism has increased in the Baltic countries of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania since their EU membership in 2004. By comparing Baltic food venues with the Helsinki Herring Festival, Potter chronicles her recent epicurean travels – from pizza joints to Michelin Stars – while deepening her appreciation for colorful Baltic culture and its vast history.
