BGSU Key Yearbooks
For decades, the Key Yearbook has fondly captured the many faces and life stories of students and staff at Bowling Green State University. Several decades’ worth of Falcon Pride is evident in this comprehensive digital collection. Spanning the history of BGSU, this collection includes every cover and every page of every yearbook in chronological order from 1918-2008. Each yearbook may be downloaded as an Adobe PDF file, and may be searched individually by year and by date.
Due to financial reasons, there were no Key yearbooks issued in 1933 or 1935. The BG News, however, issued “Commencement Issues” for each of these years (June 7, 1933 Commencement issue and June 10, 1935 Commencement issue), both of which took the form of yearbooks.
The digitized collection of the yearbooks and student newspapers were selected as the digitization project after the death of David C. Miller ’69, who was a member of the Libraries’ Advocates Board and the editor of the local newspaper. Because he and his wife, Judith Witmer Miller ’70 had each served as editor of the yearbook in 1969 and 1970, respectively, the digitization of The Key and BG News had special meaning to Miller and his colleagues on the Advocates Board.
