Abstract
This project examines the ways in which power circulates and moves in AMC's show, Mad Men, using Michel Foucault's definitions of power. In this paper, I examine the ways in which the movements of power are different in terms of gender and look at what the show reveals, through its visual narrative and its plot, regarding gender and power in America's late-stage capitalist setting.
