The Gender Gap in Literary Achievement: A Gender Studies Approach

Abstract

This website provides resources for language arts and literacy teachers to better address the gender gap in literary achievement. By providing context, critiques of current responses, and a new set of proposed responses, the hope is to close the gender gap in literary achievement. This resource focuses on the gender studies and social construction point of view to boys' underachievement in reading and writing.
