HIST 4800 Boston (Herndon)
In Fall 2013, Dr. Herndon's HIST 4800 topic was "Boston, 1600-1970." On October 1, 2013, the students had a videoconference meeting with Dr. Robert Allison of Suffolk University, author of one of their common readings, A Short History of Boston (Commonwealth, 2004). The students' paper topics ranged widely from the early 1600s to 1970 and covered such topics as capital punishment, abolition of slavery, the Civil War, and the Red Sox.
