Archival Chronicle
This collection contains fully text-searchable digital copies of the Archival Chronicle – the newsletter of the University Libraries’ Center for Archival Collections (CAC). The Archival Chronicle was published first in paper and then digital form, from 1982-2012 and this collection includes all issues.
A primary purpose of the newsletter was to further interest in the history of Northwest Ohio and to demonstrate how the collections of the CAC could be used to study such topics as transportation, business, schooling, etc. CAC materials from other collecting areas – University Archives, Historical Collection of the Great Lakes, National Student Affairs Archives, and Rare Books and Special Collections – and their research potential were the focus of other issues. Additional subjects covered by the newsletter include activities and staff changes taking place within the CAC, advice and guidance on the preservation of historic documents and photographs, and tips for genealogical research using local government records.
The CAC welcomes all inquiries concerning possible use of its collections as described in the Archival Chronicle or for other research topics. Interested parties are encouraged to contact the CAC at 419-372-2411 or archive@bgsu.edu.
