Abstract

BrowZine is a free-to-the-user iOS and Android application that improves the ability to browse and read academic journals on tablet devices. BrowZine’s Library includes selected Open Access journals at no cost, but libraries can include directly-subscribed serials for their authorized users by purchasing an institutional subscription. BrowZine facilitates the browsing of current and recent journal issues in an intuitive and approachable interface. Users can fluidly open full-text articles as PDFs with one simple tap. Article PDFs can be saved to read later, sent to other applications, or shared via social media. BrowZine is an excellent resource for scholars looking to stay up-to-date with the journal publications in their field.
