The following written report details the guiding research, methodology, results, and future implications of my semester-long project – creating an original screenplay for television and identifying strategic ways to market it to network executives. After conducting thorough research and interviewing industry professionals, I was able to develop an original show, entitled, What Happens Next? and design an accompanying pitch packet for promotional use. Through the process of conceptualizing a new television show, drafting a pilot episode, identifying marketable attributes of the production, and putting together the completed pitch packet, I hope to illustrate the process of bringing a creative project from conceptualization to completion.
